2015 – The First Quarter

2015 Life Update
HOW is it nearly April?! I swear New Year was only last week and it’s now the end of March. Erm what happened with that?

But anyway, I thought I’d put together a little round up of the year so far (I like to keep track of these things, so I don’t forget) as y’know, it’s nice to know you’ve achieved a few bits and pieces.

1. I started running again. Classic New Year’s Resolution but I was inspired by going to support my sister and cousin doing ParkRun and I officially got back into it.
2. I drank a lot of cocktails. It was one of those times which may not be a massive ‘occasion’ but one weekend I caught up for cocktails and dessert in Leeds with one friend and the following day had more cocktails and more food with friends in Huddersfield. It’s those times that I’ll look back on in 20 years and think ‘they were the good old days’.
3. The Crepe Escape came to my work one afternoon – sugar highs/crashes all round and some very tasty food.
4. I won a stay at Malmaison in Leeds, which was again, more food and cocktails. I’m sensing a theme!

1. I ran my first every ParkRun and managed a personal best as I ran for 45mins without stopping to walk once. This was great progress for me!
2. I spent Valentine’s Day with some of my best friends over in Huddersfield and went on a really memorable night out.
3. My best friends and I got together in Newcastle and it was a truly memorable day.
4. Sophie and I went to see The Script, supported by Tinie Tempah, and it was absolutely incredible.

1. I caught up with my cousins and sister in London and had an absolutely amazing day with them.
2. My good friends Jessica and I attended launch event for Beauty Matters in Garforth and had a really lovely evening being pampered – we’re going back in April too.
3. I went to see McBusted for the second time and they were amazing, again. Pure nostalgia.
4. I got a new deadlift PB, 107.5kg from the floor, which I was over the moon about.

All in all, it’s been a pretty good few months and the next few look equally as busy too with birthdays, weddings and everything in between!
