The 2014 Resolution Round Up

2014 Resolution Round Up
How exactly is 2014 over already? It seems to have flown by! It's been a pretty big year for me, mainly because I actually stuck to my 2014 resolutions, so I thought I'd do a little round up, just because it's New Years Eve.

So, here are my 2014 resolutions and what I did to make them happen.

Let’s Get Physical.
I made the resolution to run the York 10K and raise money for the MS Society, all in my Dad's memory and I did this back in August. I may have hated every second of it but I finished it. I have no plans to run anywhere, ever again but I'm so glad I did it.

Keep in Touch.
I’ve made more effort than I have in past years to keep in touch with my friends though this is something that can always be improved. As for Twitter and blogging, I’ve been to a few events, taken part in lots of chats and worked with bloggers as part of my job. So all in all, I think I ticked that one off.

In terms of novels, I’ve discovered new authors though in the latter half of the year, I haven’t read as much as I’ve wanted. With blogs, I’ve become a regular reader of so many more so I think that makes up for it!

Do Stuff.
Yep, I did plenty of ‘stuff’. I’ve seen some of my all time favourite musicians and comedians live, had nights out, nights in and visited new cities. I'm pretty content with this one!

Get a ‘proper’ job.
I did it! Back in January 2014, I was hating life as a temp in the world’s most dull office job and I couldn’t be further away from that now. After a brief stint in the weird and wonderful world of Event Prop Hire, I’m now on the graduate scheme at Epiphany – essentially my dream job.

This is the first year I've stuck to my resolutions and looking back, I've never had a year where I've achieved quite as much as I did this year. As so much big stuff happened this year (new job/new city/buying my first flat), I'm hoping for a few less big life changes in 2015, but still as much fun stuff.

As this is my last post of 2014, I wish each and every one of my readers a happy new year and I hope 2015 brings you everything you wish for! Apart from a hangover tomorrow, I don’t wish that on anyone.
