My Christmas Party Outfit, with Glasses Direct

Glasses Direct

I’m lucky enough to get two Christmas parties this year (makes up for last year when I’m pretty sure I was working for Scrooge), and as I had my first one last Friday, I though I’d do a post with what I wore.

Deciding what to wear was really tricky. How dressed up do you go when it’s not the official work party but it’s still a big night out? I don’t have much in the way of ‘going out’ clothes any more as a lot of them are too big for me now (sigh) and as I don’t go out nearly as much as I used to, I haven’t replaced them.

This dress is an old one from New Look. I still remember buying it for a night out, walking into the toilets of Revolution and seeing a girl also wearing this dress – we high-fived and it was a beautiful moment. But anyway, this dress has seen many nights out and is very ‘me’. I wore it with a pair of chunky heels and I was happy days.

The new addition to this outfit is my new pair of glasses from Glasses Direct. I absolutely love their new London Retro Retrospectiv collection as they’re all very ‘me’. I like bigger frames and these are more of a cat eye shape – something I’ve never tried before. Glasses Direct do a free home trial too which is really helpful as it means you can try them on, take a few selfies, get everyone’s opinions, then send them back for free. Their designer glasses range is pretty extensive and everything above £55 is on 2 for 1. And they do 50% off flash sales a lot too so it can work out very affordable.

So what do you think of my Christmas Party outfit? Do you like my new frames? Let me know :)

*Please note that these glasses were provided for review purposes, but as ever, opinions are all honest and my own.
