TK Maxx Haul

TK Maxx Haul
I haven’t done a haul in a while as I’ve been relatively (ish) good with my money but today I had a little splurge in TK Maxx.

Normally the place makes me shudder and feel a bit sick. I guess it’s spending 4 years working in the anal orderliness of Next that means rail after rail of bits and pieces of clothes just doesn’t do it for me. But after hearing on the blogging grapevine about beauty bargains, I thought I’d man up and get in there. And I took my mum with me, just to be on the safe side.

Now, I’ve converted. I never thought I’d feel so happy in the place as I did today!

First up, TIGI BedHead shampoo and conditioner. I’ve had this before from my hairdressers and I absolutely love it because I genuinely believe that I should be using salon quality products all of the time. Unfortunately, my budget doesn’t tend to stretch as far as the salon brands in Boots but these came in at £12.99 each and the last time I had them, they lasted me around 3 months. The RRP for both bottles sold together is £30.

Next, I found this Rituals salt scrub which I reviewed here. I loved it when I reviewed it but £16 a tub is a bit pricey. £7.99 however for what I know is a high quality product, I’m perfectly happy to treat myself to it!

I found this Revlon eye shadow which has 4 shades. It was a total bargain at £2.99 when the RRP is £7.99.

I also picked up an Eco Tools powder brush. I’ve been looking for a new brush for ages but every time I go to spend £15 on a decent one I just can’t justify it. This one was £4.99 from £8.99.

And last but not least, possibly my best beauty buy EVER, a Burberry foundation. I’d found a few bits and pieces reduced to the £25 mark but not in my shade but luckily for me, I found one that matched my skintone perfectly for £15, reduced from £35. I know this buy has a lot of trust in the name representing quality but I read an article by Hannah Gale about things to do before you turn 25, and it included investing in a decent foundation, so this is mine!

So all in all, I spent £56.95 and the RRP value of the products I bought was... tense silence...

So a saving of £41.03. And the best bit is that it’s stuff I actually wanted, not things I won’t use. Winner!

Have you have found any beauty bargains in TK Maxx? Let me know in the comments, especially if you’ve done a post about it as I’d love a read J
