Access All ASOS Swap Shop
Oh ASOS, you do like to treat your loyal insiders! For anyone who hasn’t heard of Access All ASOS, it’s a group of hand-picked ‘insiders’ who basically get treats from ASOS. There are events at ASOS head office (like this one), we get set challenges (read about my styling challenge here) and it’s a fantastic networking opportunity. Read all about my introduction to Access All ASOS here, realise it’s amazing and then follow this link to get your application in!
So on Saturday I went to the 4th insider event (and my first one!) at ASOS HQ and this time it was a Swap Shop. A group of insiders attended and brought a few good quality pieces each to swap.
After an 8am train down from York and a wrong tube, I managed to make it to the right place (anyone going to future events, it’s the massive building with cat statues and you can see it from Mornington Crescent tube station) and bumped into Danielle who I’d been talking to earlier that day on Twitter.

We had a welcome talk and the staff introduced ASOS Marketplace and told us how it works;
Businesses sell through the marketplace as ‘Boutiques’ and individuals as ‘Wardrobes’. There are certain requirements such as Boutiques need their clothing to be modelled and all sellers pay a 5% commission to ASOS (20% of the commission goes to the ASOS Foundation). It’s pretty much the fashion version of ebay but better.

As well as the Swap Shop, we had talks from Mod Dolly and House of Jam – both brands who have set up businesses and sell through ASOS Marketplace. They explained how they had worked their way up to where they are today and how they had found using ASOS Marketplace as a platform for new talent.
The Swap Shop itself was a bit scary – think Next Sale but with better clothes and fashion obsessed bloggers. I was lucky enough to pick up three brand new dresses (2 from ASOS, 1 from Hanna) and a top from Lucy – photos of these will be coming soon! Despite my recent post here about how scared I am of pastels, I picked up a gorgeous mint green dress, (thankyou Hanna!).

  1. I do like that photo of us- how ecstatic am I?! I'm honestly feeling so sad that I don't get free clothes every weekend.

  2. I think we need weekly swap shops to get more clothes, it was a fantastic day! I hope they do another one :)
