What I've been buying...

What I've been buying Working full time has given me something that I craved as a student... Disposable income! Admittedly, being a skint student taught me to update my wardrobe by wearing things differently, buying accessories rather than dresses and to ask myself how much I will honestly wear something, however, it is nice to have a few little luxuries and as I enter a new phase of my life, I'm beginning to discover that my attitude to workwear needs to evolve. Gone are the days of working at Next and buying clothes on the basis that I wouldn't need to iron them or working at my Students' Union in a black polo top. This all makes me feel very grown up!

My recent purchases cover going out, casual and workwear. The dress is from Yours, a plus size clothing shop which focuses on bringing more modern styles to their curvy clientele - not dissimilar to Inspire at New Look. The dress is £30 and I can't wait to wear it this coming Saturday. I plan to wear it with a long gold pendant, black tights and wedges.

The top is an Aztec print vest from New Look that I purchased around 2 weeks ago and have worn several times. This top requires chunky gold jewellery to make it stand out - without accessories it looks a bit like a comfy attempt at being on trend.

The loafers are ASOS and I was lucky enough to get them at half price - £16 for leather shoes is an absolute steal! These will take me from office to casual quite easily, I plan to wear them with jeans or under smart trousers. Office wear is currently quite limiting for me as I am still finding my feet in the working world. I'm still getting used to wearing smarter clothes and I haven't found my niche style wise yet.
