Brunching at Ox Club, Leeds

Ox Club Leeds Brunch Menu
Ox Club Leeds

Spoiler alert, if you’re reading this at breakfast time, whatever you’re eating will feel like a disappointment once you’ve seen the photos in this post, soz about that.

It won’t be news to anyone who knows me IRL that I bloody love brunch. I love that it’s delicious and breakfasty and can be sweet or savoury and it’s OK to have something that feels like a dessert. Get what I mean? Now that Spring has well and truly raised it’s head with some unexpected warmth, getting out early on a weekend seems like the only plan I’m going to need for the foreseeable future, and there is no better way of spending a Saturday morning than eating delicious food.

I headed to Ox Club for a blogger brunch recently and we were lucky enough to sample almost the entire menu (absolute dream). I’ve been absolutely dying to go to Ox Club in Leeds for what seems like forever, but good things come to those who wait and I had the chance to spend a lovely few hours sampling their brunch dishes.

My personal fave was the flat iron steak with cheddar eggs as who the hell doesn’t want steak for breakfast? It was cooked medium rare (just how I like it) and served with the most delicious scrambled eggs in the world and potatoes. Perfection. Another dreamy dish was the bubble and squeak, which included potatoes, smoked sausage and a fried duck egg. Are we sensing a theme here that eggs for breakfast is what I love more than anything?

Considering the menu is fairly small, there are still some good veggie options – it’s not often you’ll see anything more than avo on toast on a more limited brunch menu. I mean, they do have avo on toast, which looked delicious, but they also do a cauliflower-y dish which is served on a flatbread.

When it comes to breakfast, I’m definitely savoury over sweet, but that didn’t stop me tucking into coconut French toast and ricotta pancakes. Both were absolutely divine, but my heart is with the flat iron steak. The French toast had the sweet and salty thing going on as it was served with bacon and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious.

Will I be going back to Ox Club for brunch? Hell yes. Are there any brunch places which do amazing eggs that I should try? Please let me know in the comments!

  2. I've only ever had the 'sweet' brunches at Ox Club - the pancakes and the French toast - but the steak is definitely top of my list for next time!

  3. Oh my! This all looks and sounds amazing!
I am so with you on brunch. I can easily not eat early on a morning and much prefer eating later on so brunch suits me well.
I need to go here. Please take me here.lol
